Max Payne movie to begin filming on March 2
February 2nd, 2008 @ 09:59

According to this, the Max Payne movie is finally about to start filming. Beginning on March in Toronto, the movie is something of a mystery at the moment, aside from a basic plot of Max’s family being murdered and the toilet-faced maniac going on a revengathon. It is known, however, that the eponymous lead will be played by “Marky” Mark Wahlberg, him that wears his pants on the outside. God knows what this is going to turn out like, but we’ll keep hoping for gold.

His dress sense might not have been up to much but his acting isn’t as bad as you might imagine.
The movie can’t really suck that much, the story is a pretty generic one which serves the purpose of moving us from huge action sequence to the next.
I always had Eddie Cahill pegged for the role, looks not unlike a young Max Payne and a new yorker to boot.

He was good in Boogie Nights, granted. I just had a look on imdb, and it says Max Payne isn’t coming out till 2010. Which is a shame.
