A million people Folding@Home, says Sony

More than a million PS3s are now registered in Stanford University’s Folding@Home project, Sony’s announced, meaning two new users per minute have signed up to allow their resting CPU power to contribute to medical research since the scheme was launched.
“Since partnering with SCEI, we have seen our research capabilities increase by leaps and bounds through the continued participation of Folding@home users,” says Vijay Pande, assocate professor of chemistry at Stanford University, and Folding@home project lead.
