DMC4 takes “22 minutes to install on PS3″
February 4th, 2008 @ 15:58
This is just funny. According to this, a Future journalist bothered to time how long it took to install Devil May Cry 4 onto his PS3 hard drive, coming up with a final of 21 minutes and 41 seconds. To add insult to injury, the installation didn’t make “any significant” difference to load times compared to the Xbox 360 version. Both versions release this Friday in Europe.

It’s taken him this long to tell us that?
IGN review said differently, mind. Big difference apparantly. And then 2 lines later the difference is ‘impossible to tell’ unless you run both side by side.
:/

the difference in loading could be due to the type of HDD he has in his PS3 if its 5400rpm’s then it would be slower than a HDD of 7200rpm’s.
Blu-ray is also slower at reading data off its disc where as the 360 using dvd has a much faster read time due to the smaller capacity on the disc and general quicker read speed of the drive.
But yeah I agree they can’t say it runs slower with the game installed until it had a side by side comparison.
