“Platinum” PS3 budget range “likely” for Euro PS3, says SCEE
February 4th, 2008 @ 11:06

SCEE has given a clear indication that a budget range will be released in Europe for PS3. The company fell short of confirming any solid details but used the consistently used “Platinum” title when describing the range.
“We have introduced a Platinum range of best selling titles for all of our platforms to date, and it is likely that we will do so in the future for PS3,” a spokesperson told VG247. “However, no decisions have yet been made on timing or line-up.”
The comment came after it emerged over night that Sony Japan is to release a budget brand for PS3, to launch in March 19 with Resistance, FolksSoul, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Gundam: Target in Sight, and Ridge Racer 7.
Sounds encouraging. Hopefully we won’t have too long to wait.
