Be honest. You know nothing about Dragon Quest, despite the fact it’s one of the biggest franchises in games. You nod sagely when anyone mentions it. You know it’s from Japan. You’ve seen those stupid squishy blue things and you don’t know what they are. Help, thankfully, is at hand. This gigantic Gamasutra article lays out the entire series from beginning to end over 10 huge pages, pictures and all. Bookmark it, read it, maybe even buy a Dragon Quest game and play it. You’ll be a better person for it.
