Microsoft US drops HD-DVD player to $129.99
February 6th, 2008 @ 16:32
Major Nelson just confirmed that the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player has dropped in price to $129.99 from $179.99 in the US. “This new price is effective immediately in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand,” said the Major.
We’re trying to get word from Microsoft as to whether we can expect to see something similar in Europe.

I honestly wouldn’t mind one of these. I’d never use it, obviously, but there we are.

I’d only get one if it was about £20 so that I could play my mistakenly-bought HD-DVD “Briefcase Edition” Blade Runner. I haven’t got anything to play it on yet, but obviously I should’ve gone Blue :/

I should be hearing back from Microsoft today about whether or not they have anything planned for a European drop.
