Activision confirmed a new Call of Duty game for the coming financial year last night in an investor call, following the release of record financials for its third quarter.
Following the enormous success of Call of Duty 4 - the game was named the biggest selling for 2007 - versions were confirmed for PS2, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. No release date was given, but it’s reasonable to expect this is going to arrive this Christmas. The company wouldn’t confirm whether or not the game was Call of Duty 5 or a spin-off from the series.
