Crytek developed Far Cry but Ubisoft own the rights to the name.

Far Cry 2 is being developed by Ubisoft in Canada using their own brand new engine.

Crytek developed Crysis and if they're porting anything anywhere it'll be Crysis to 360 and PS3.

Far more likely is the fact Ubisoft are porting Far Cry 2 to the different consoles as it's already been advertised as a multi-platform game where as Crytek have only displayed some tech demos of their engine running on the 360/PS3.

In even better news, the game's being developed by Ubi Montreal, not Crytek, and isn't even running on CryEngine. So who's a fucking idiot?

Headline is a bit deceptive. Far Cry man was worried, but now positively surprised" by PS3's complexity.
