Manchester Cathedral visits up after Resistance nonsense
February 14th, 2008 @ 16:53
According to this, Manchester Cathedral’s incredible fight with Sony over the building appearing in a Resistance firefight has borne fruit: namely in that people actually want to visit the building now, as opposed to never going because they don’t care and don’t believe in God.
“Since the story broke, Manchester Cathedral has seen a significant rise in visitor numbers,” says David Marshall, director of communications for the Diocese of Manchester. “Teachers tell us that teenagers in particular are interested to see a building which they thought was fictional.”
Which pretty much says it all. It does for us, anyway.

I had an idea for a game, where you play as the devil and you have to destroy christianity, and eventually god. Of course, the catch is that the devil is also a fictional part of christianity, so you’re basically killing yourself. Eh.. I think I’m giving too many of my secrets again.. I wouldn’t want Rockstar to read this and steal my idea.

Who would have thought….
I, for one, am looking forward to more churches, mosques and temples in videogames.
