Koei has “no idea” if Disgaea 3 will release in Europe
February 28th, 2008 @ 10:52

Following last night’s announcement that Nippon Ichi’s mega-hardcore RPG Disgaea 3 will release in the US for PS3, Koei UK - publisher of all Nippon Ichi titles in Europe - has confirmed there are no plans to bring the title out here as yet.
“There’s currently nothing,” said a spokesperson. “I don’t even know if we’ll publish it or not. It’s just been announced for the US at the moment. No, absolutely no idea at the moment, no.”
In case you didn’t get that, it means “no”.
Don’t be too amazed if this does turn up eventually, however. Koei has published plenty of Nippon Ichi’s RPGs in Europe previously, including Phantom Brave, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness for PSP and Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana.

Koei loves NI. I wouldn’t be overly concerned. Especially seeing as the US version will work just fine in your Euro PS3 if they decide not to bother.

That’s not a Disgaea picture by the way, Pat. You’ve picked up one from Valkyria Chronicles instead.

I think that might be Etna … what about one of these http://www.gamersyde.com/news_6049_en.html
One of the key factors in getting a PS3 was the region-freeness of the games. So I can import the stuff like this from the US when they can’t be arsed to translate into all the Euro languages.
