CoD4 patch has resulted in “record numbers” on Live since launch

Speaking on < href="http://iamfourzerotwo.com/" target="_new">his blog, Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has claimed that the release of the large Call of Duty 4 patch on Friday has resulted in “record numbers” playing the game on Xbox Live over the weekend.
“Overall, the response to the new patch has been positive with the game pulling in record numbers on Xbox Live over the weekend,” he said.
The rest of this post, however, deals with some apparently serious issues with the update, mainly with host migration bugs and oddities with host-matching in general.
Expect CoD4 to beat Halo 3 in the UU stakes on Live again this week.
