Ghostbusters and Gemma Atkinson to host Play.com Live
March 4th, 2008 @ 12:36

Vivendi has just told us that Ghostbusters is to have a “presence” at Play.com Live, but wouldn’t say what it was. A rep described the showing as an “interesting angle”. Make of that what you will. The Terminal Reality-developed game has a release date of autumn 2008, and hasn’t been seen outside of NDAs, a tiny trailer and five screens, so keep your eyes open for more later this month.
Her with the “extended” chest off Hollyoaks and Iain Lee are going to be hosting the event, apparently. We’d like to make a “joke” about Gemma getting “slimed” but we won’t, because that would be sexist and wrong. The two day show is being held at Wembley Stadium on March 15-16.
Sega, EA, Activision, Microsoft, THQ and Ubisoft are all signed up, and attendees can expect to see LEGO Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, Condemed 2, Sega Superstar Tennis, Rock Band, LittleBigPlanet and DeBlob, among other stuff. Wouldn’t it be awesome if a Rock Band release date announcement for Europe was imminent?
The following bands will also be playing:
Saturday 15 March
- Elliot Minor
- The Rumble Strips
- Vincent Vincent and the Villains
- Beth Rowley
Sunday 16 March
- We Are Scientists
- You Me At Six
- Go:Audio
- Saving Aimee
Hopefully that means something to you. In addition, a raft of celebrities will be on show, including, um, “Tara Palmer-Tomkinson – business woman and IT girl”, famed gamer and Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli and rugby player George Skivington. Who’s bang into games.
