New WoW art, Sunwell Isle shots and info released

Here. Very pretty it all is too. The Sunwell Isle patch is the last Burning Crusade update before the release of Wrath of the Lich King, apparently.

“From a lore perspective, this patch is of great importance to the Warcraft world,” said level designer Julian Morris. “Sunwell Plateau will serve as the final chapter of the Burning Crusade storyline. Players will learn additional back story for Kael’thas and they will fight to survive as a critical chapter in the Sunwell’s history unfolds.”

Morris explained: “Sunwell Isle is located just north of Silvermoon City, and contains two new dungeons: a 5-person normal or Heroic dungeon (Magister’s Terrace) where players will face Prince Kael’thas, and a 25-player raid dungeon (Sunwell Plateau) culminating in a battle against Kil’jaeden, one of the most challenging boss encounters we have developed to date. In addition, the island has a new daily quest hub, and the daily quest limit is being increased from 10 to 25. The Aldor and Scryer storylines will also reach their finale on Sunwell Isle, as the Shattered Sun Offensive reputation is introduced.”

  1. Lvl 64 and counting!

  2. me and my chums are at 70, but there’s only four of us who play regularly, so all these nice five man instances aren’t much use to us :(

I wish the instances scaled to your group size a bit better.

  3. My experience with PUG’s so far is pretty good, but I do think I’m on a slightly more mature server at the moment that the kids shy away from (RP-PVE)

  4. Yeah, we could always do that, but with four of us being great friends having one random other that isn’t on our wavelength is just a bit weird and creepy. Still, with every new expansion we get to play the high level dungeons of the old game after a little bit of levelling, so it’s not too bad really.

  5. I got to level 46, and then had to stop playing due to time issues. I really miss it. :(
