Everyone’s favourite developer David Perry today announced the completion of the beta testing phase and launch of the games industry resource GameIndustryMap.com, which has apparently grown in 12 months from an initial 1,500 data points to 17,584 locations for 9,741 organisations across 63 countries.

It really is an amazingly useful bit of internet, that. It’s basically a searchable global map covered in companies. Take a look for yourself.

  1. Which Perry?

  2. Dave Perry. Him what made the Matrix and Earthworm Jim.

  3. Really?! Blimey.

  4. He does loads of stuff, mainly for Acclaim. I think this is a pet project.

  5. Revolution’s not on there. They’re the only company near me!

  6. They haven’t added themselves. It’s a wiki-type thing. Shame on them.

  7. I work with a guy who used to work for Revolution (he worked on Broken Sword and stuff). I’ll get him to poke them with a stick.

  8. :D

  9. A fella I went to school with coded a fantastic BBC Micro emulator then went to work for Infogrames. He worked on some godawful tennis game and Broken Sword Sleeping Dragon too :-)

  10. Revolution is there, they just dont have an address. Its in their “Bermuda Triangle” of lost companies lol. I tried to find the address to add it, but couldnt find it.
