Sorry, we passed over this because we never watch television. Apparently a game’s being made of TV show Dexter.
“Dexter is the extremely rare TV show with enough layers of action and tension to translate perfectly into a compelling videogame,” said Marc Fernandez, Ecko Entertainment’s VP. “Our game designers, writers, and artists are going to give Dexter’s morally complex world the kind of interactivity that gamers will love.”
It’s about a forensic guy who’s also a serial killer. Sounds deep. Probably won’t be.

Dexter is the best telly show in years, it’s fookin’ aces. It will make for a terrible, terrible game.

It’s just started running on ITV4. See if you can catch it on repeat or something.
It’s really not a ‘game’ show. It’s pretty much all talking, there’s very little action.

I think it could potentially (if it was being made by someone else) be a decent Manhunt stalk-n-kill mixed with some investigatory nonsense and crime-scene analysis. It’s arguably more ‘gamey’ than Lost, really.

I’ve not played it yet. I’m a fan of the show, but for some reason the idea of a Lost game doesn’t appeal.
You need to watch the first three episodes of Dexter really - I watched the pilot again last night (well, I had it on in the background when I was doing those Smash grabs) and it’s probably the worst episode of the first season. Still good, but it gets better as it goes on.

I’m another who’s in the dark about Dexter. I have ITV4 but seeing as the bitrate makes the entire channel unwatchable I’ll have to see if I can find this elsewhere. It has been recommended to me by many, but such recommendations have gone awry in the past

It’s on ITV1 these days. 10.35pm tonight is the second episode, which you should start watching from. IIRC, the ‘previously’ bit fills you in on all you need to know.

I’m about 10 mins into the first ep. Seems good. Microsoft went and got leaked on that price cut, though, so it’s on hold while the news EXPLODES IN MY FACE.
