The World Ends With You dated for Europe
March 6th, 2008 @ 13:29
Square Enix just confirmed that The World Ends With You - Subarashiki Kono Sekai in Japan - will release in Europe on April 18. The company’s making a “thing” of the fact the DS RPG is set in modern times, the first Square game to be so, apparently.
“Square Enix has traditionally been associated with RPG’s set in fantasy lands, but THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU is our first ever game to be set in modern times and real-life locations,” said the publisher’s super-boss, John Yamamoto. “We believe gamers of all ages and abilities will be able to enjoy all that THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU has to offer.”
There’s no need to shout. Keep an eye out for it next month.

Really excited about this, having interviewed the director and played a bit of the Japanese version. Brilliant news. Out the day before my birthday, as well. Marvellous.

I’m pretty sure the art guy is Nomura, the Kingdom Hearts chappie.

Ah, I see. That’d explain it, then.
