Any announcement is going to be a little late, from the look of it. Amazon UK has cut the price of all its 360 SKUs this morning, following news last night that a Dutch retailer had detailed euro-priced cuts and the German FT had run a story saying Microsoft is to drop the price of the console today.
The Arcade pack on Amazon is now under £150, at £149.99. The retailer is selling the Premium pack for £189.99 and the Elite for £249.99.
The drop now means Xbox 360 is the cheapest current gen console in Europe. A British Wii currently costs £179.98 on Amazon.

These are very good prices. I know we said Sony probably wouldn’t respond, but looking at that I think they need to.

I agree - the 360 is now very competitively priced - even the Premium against the Wii (ignoring the Arcade) would make many people think twice.
Once again the PS3 feels left out in the cold as the most expensive machine by quite a margin. At the very least, they need to keep pace with the Elite.

I reckon Sony will make a large cut later this year. They’ll be aiming for a big boost at Christmas. I reckon this is Microsoft getting as much value our of GTA as possible.

How about Nintendo. They havn’t adjusted their price one penny. AMOF the price has gone up since release in many stores.
