Super R-Type and Operation Wolf for PAL VC this week
March 14th, 2008 @ 09:07

Super R-Type and Operation Wolf are being made available on the PAL Virtual Console this week for 800 and 500 Wii Points respectively. These are probably nowhere near as good as we remember them being. In fact, we’re reasonably sure we’d just be vastly irritated by both of them. Them’s the breaks.

Which version of Operation Wolf is it?

The NES version, apparently.

Operation initiated! Rescue all hostages!

Oh. That’s a bit crap, then.
Why don’t they have arcade games on the VC? Op Wolf would work great with the remote. The NES version doesn’t even support the light gun, does it?

Not sure, to be honest. I used to play the arcade one a bit, but it was 50p a go and I used to play 1942 instead because it was only 10p. I don’t think I ever played it on NES.

I fully believe you.

i remember spunking all my holiday cash on Operation Wolf and not having anything left for ice cream and sweets. Which is funny because I still ended up a fat cunt.
