Wow. Check this out. The DS version of Guitar Hero - Guitar Hero: On Tour - will come with a fret device that slots into DS’s GBA cart port. The game will include a line-up of more than 20 licensed songs from bands as Nirvana, OK Go, and No Doubt. The multiplayer stuff sounds awesome: players can activate power-ups that’ll send raving fans to an opponent’s screen, who will then have to sign autographs on the touchscreen to get rid of them. Or out-of-control pyrotechnics will be set ablaze, and players will have to blow them out using the DS microphone.

There’s a movie here. Guitar Hero: On Tour releases this summer.

  1. That actually looks pretty fucking cool.

  2. I’m not sure my frail ego could handle playing that with anyone watching me.

  3. /likes

  4. I don’t think it’ll catch on, tbh.

  5. I don’t know about that - it could be massive. Though yeah, the embarrassment factor would be high. With headphones, though…

Either way, if you’re making a Guitar Hero for the DS, this looks like pretty much the perfect way to do it.

  6. I should’ve wrapped my comment in /sarcasm tags I see! ;)

  7. Jesus, you guys are so self-conscious! Live a little for crying out loud :)

Note: whether or not playing this game actually constitutes as “living” is another argument ;)

  8. This game actually offends me. Young people should be getting pregnant and taking drugs, not playing Guitar Hero on DS.
