I was intially a bit surprised and disappointed to see the 8, but in all honesty, the review reads like a 9/10 game that's been docked a point for a couple of stupid design decisions. I have to say I'm particularly disappointed that you (apparently) can't play the 4-race cups in multi-player. That's been my default way of playing Mario Kart since I first put thumb to pad on the series and I just can't see the sense in axing it. I still pre-ordered it though... :) A nice review by EG.
