Give us an official PS3 Euro blog, say gamers
March 22nd, 2008 @ 12:05
With the likes of Major Nelson keeping the global Xbox crowd happy and The Playstation Blog keeping US PS3 gamers up to date with the latest PlayStation-related goings on Stateside, it seems the only console gamers missing out on the official blog front are European PS3 owners.
According to this, a PS3 blog forum member has petitioned his fellow users as to whether they’d like to see a European Playstation Blog.
A mighty 95 percent said they would, with only 3 percent of the replies saying that threespeech fits the bill. If SCEE lives up to its promise of listening to its consumers, then hopefully we’ll see something soon.

I think the type of blog service by Mr. Hyrb and SCEA are a great idea. I’m sure SCEE will follow suit.

… in about two years.
PS: I doubt a official blog would make huge difference.

No, probably not, but it’s one of those nice bits of customer service that really improves relations with consumers.

If the proposed Euro PS3 blog is updated as often as the Euro PSN store, most of the news on it will already be out of date by 6 months before it’s even published. Beats the heck out of me why the US still get goodies like the Condemned 2 demo (which is excellent btw) yet the game’s out here this coming friday but do we get the demo? Nicht, nada, no way Mr Hose.
Blogs are a fantastic idea if the stuff on ‘em isn’t available elsewhere already in a more timely fashion. Something Sony EU as a whole can’t quite get a handle on.

I would love that.
