March 25th, 2008 @ 11:50

According to this, Wedbush Morgan estimates that Ubisoft’s purchase of the Tom Clancy IP - announced last Thursday - will cost in the region of €60 million. The money is to be paid over three years with potential earn-outs of up to approximately another €15 million.

Ubi now owns the rights to the entire Clancy brand, including books, games, movies and merchandising related to the IP. The company has already said it’s beginning work on an MMO based on the brand in the wake of the deal.
