SCEE quiet on 2.30 details, how new PS Store will be “deployed”
April 1st, 2008 @ 09:20
SCEE refused to be drawn on details of details of Firmware 2.30 this morning, following yesterday’s confirmation that the PS3 software update would be needed to use the new version of PlayStation Store, to be released in mid-April in both the US and Europe.
“We have made no official announcement of the details of Firmware 2.30 or exactly how the new Store will be deployed,” a rep told videogaming247.
If the information released yesterday was correct, there should be a full Firmware release in the next two weeks, straight off the back of 2.20, which added BD-Live functionality only last week.
It’s all go, isn’t it?

Hopefully they’ll make Remote Play actually work from anywhere with having to completely reconfigure you home network around the PS3 to get it running.
Because when it does, it’s awesome. I can watch divx stuff that’s on my PC using the PS3 as a converter of sorts. That’s genius!
