72% of Americans played a game last year

According to NPD, 72 percent of all Americans played a videogame in some shape or form last year, an 8 percent rise over the previous year.
Apparently, 40 percent of US residents played an online game in 2007, with 90 percent of that activity being on PC. NPD described the PC as “the driving force in online gaming.”
