Well it wouldn't be a multiplatform environment if the engine's key features don't work on both console and PC.

Question is, will they port "Crysis" or will it be like Far Cry and the consoles will get console-specific versions that aren't quite up to the same standard as the PC original?

Crysis is a glorious game, but if you take away some of the graphical sheen and the destructable environments (having trees and branches falling around you as they soak up gunfire is awesome) and everything that went towards making the PC version so brilliantly immersive, I think you're just left with a fairly bog standard shooter.

They want to license the engine as a multi-platform environment similar to Unreal Engine 3. They're not confirming that Crysis is coming out on console, but it almost certainly is.

So they're admitting that they're porting it, then? :-D

Shame it'll only be used for first person bore-a-thons.

Ran like a pig on my computer. Which was a shame, because I could see how amazing it was supposed to look.

I've just finished playing this game on the PC. On Very High settings it really is a sight to behold and for the first two-thirds an utterly fantastic game.

It'll be interesting to see if they can port it over to the consoles with all the big expansive levels intact. I'd imagine the lack of RAM (both video and standard memory) would be the biggest stumbling block.
