Sonic Unleashed will be more like the Sonic of old
April 9th, 2008 @ 17:05

Yoshihisa Hashimoto, Team Sonic’s lead designer has said an interview with ONM (UK) that Sonic Unleashed will be nothing like the more recent next-gen outings.
“In our minds, this game will have more in common with the older Sonic Adventure series. It has no relation to Sonic the Hedgehog [the 360/PS3 game] or Sonic And The Secret Rings,” he said. “We wanted Sonic fans to love Sonic even more. Also, for people who are not familiar with Sonic, we think that this will be a great way to introduce them to Sonic The Hedgehog.”
He confirmed to the magazine that the Wii version will be out this winter but online play won’t make it.
Sega recently confirmed Sonic Unleashed a week after it decided not to comment on some rather spiffing looking leaked footage.

“older Sonic Adventure series” not older Sonic games.
Make one like Sonic 2, please.

“Sonic Unleashed will be more like the Sonic of old…”
…minus the feeling of control, I’m afraid. I really can’t stand how this Sonic (judging solely on the trailer an Pics) yet AGAIN seems to play itself too much.
bye,
Alex
