Wii price drop is “rumour and speculation” says Nintendo

Nintendo UK’s told GI that talk of a Wii price cut in Europe this morning is “rumour and speculation”.
And we’ve just received the same comment while writing this.
“Rumour and speculation - so no comment,” said a rep.

Could there be something in it? Maybe they think £70 for Wii Fit + £179 for the console is a bit too much for those who might be interested in Fit to stomach.
The rumoured drop would leave Wii Fit + console right back at £179.
