April 9th, 2008 @ 10:07

Nintendo UK’s told GI that talk of a Wii price cut in Europe this morning is “rumour and speculation”.

And we’ve just received the same comment while writing this.

“Rumour and speculation - so no comment,” said a rep.

  1. Is it rumour and speculation?

  2. I might add an update saying “AMG has just told us it’s rumour and speculation.”

  3. I think this might just be rumour and speculation.

  4. So they didn’t deny it. Rumour and speculation confirmed.

  5. Yes. Nine times out of then this means “OH GOD THEY KNOW!” But this is Nintendo, so it’s probably bollocks.

  6. IS it the same guy that said “There is no new DS on the way” the day before it was announced?

  7. Haha, that was Yarnton wasn’t it? What a clown.

Could there be something in it? Maybe they think £70 for Wii Fit + £179 for the console is a bit too much for those who might be interested in Fit to stomach.

The rumoured drop would leave Wii Fit + console right back at £179.
