Europe will get MGO beta
April 10th, 2008 @ 15:21

According to Eurogamer, Konami will announce plans for a European Metal Gear Online beta “shortly”.
The news follows last night’s story that the company has now stopped non-Japanese residents signing up for Konami IDs and getting onto the Japanese beta.
The game itself launches on June 12, with the Japanese beta starting on April 17.

Well, I’ve already got a Japanese Beta key due to my h4ack1nG sk1LLz so it’ll be interesting to see whether I can get in o the 17th.

Never really understood the interest in betas. I have about 30 games that I’d like to buy and get through before I even consider looking at unfinished games. =)

I understand it for MMOs, because you can get l33t leVlups. But not for something like this.

For me, with a game like this, it’s to get an idea of the atmosphere above anything else. See the graphics and game in motion before pretty much anyone else.
I’ll probably play it 2-3 hours tops and then never go back.
