Pachter: PS3 outsold Xbox 360 in March in the US
April 14th, 2008 @ 17:01

Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter has just issued a research note that predicts PS3 outsold Xbox 360 in the US last month.
The analyst said that he expects PS3 to have sold 365,000 units to Xbox 360’s 310,000.
He said that PS2 is expected to have sold 320,000 machines, and that PSP moved 300,000 consoles.
Wii and DS, Pachter said, will have sold around 700,000 units a piece.

Pachter’s predictions have been pretty poor lately. Expect him to be well off.

Yeah, the last couple of months he’s been way off the mark. In fact other than November and December last year his predictions have always been way off the mark. =)

There’s a picture of him on Next-Gen.biz! First time I ever saw him! He looks grumpy.

He was on GTTV last week, on the Bonus Round thing. He seemed quite jolly.

I just realised something… this prediction is awfully close to the actual results. I wonder if he’s obtained some insider info.

They do it every month, just before the data release.

Are the actual results out? How do you know his prediction is close?

I meant in terms of time scale. Usually he predicts a couple of weeks before the data, this time he’s right on top of it (it’s coming Thursday).

Well, he is rather busy whoring himself out to whoever will listen these days.
