Blood countdown game is Siren for PS3
April 16th, 2008 @ 09:27

The bloody countdown discovered last night on SCEJ’s site is for a new Siren game, apparently. This Famitsu scan confirms it. Thanks to Kotaku. It’s called Siren New Translation, is 90 percent complete, is a remake of the first game, will release in Japan on July 24 and there’ll be a demo available on April 24.
The end.

Boo! Remaking PS2 games is really bloody lazy. The original Siren still looks pretty good even now.
I wonder if they’ll keep the ‘Cockerney’ voices for the Western version?

There’s a guy saying things like “shit” in the muffled voiceover on the bloody counter, so sounds like, yep

Hmm… the Kotaku comments guys reckon it’s not a remake, but a ‘retelling’ of the original story from the point of view of a bundle of different characters. I guess that’s not quite as lazy, then.

Well, that’s better. Can’t have too many horror games.
