April 18th, 2008 @ 09:50

New hardware figures from Japan show PSP holding strong, although everything’s down in general after the joyous ejaculation that was Monster Hunter. Here’s last week’s stats. Figures below are for the week ending April 14.

  • PSP - 85,721
  • DS Lite - 47,158
  • Wii - 46,296
  • PS3 - 8,232
  • PS2 - 6,834
  • Xbox 360 - 1,147

  1. What the blinking flip is going on with the bottom end of the chart?

  2. Oh - we’re almost at Golden Week. That might explain it a bit. Not a lot, but a bit. Ish.

  3. What what what? Explain what?

  4. Explain why the bottom appears to have fallen out of the market. Sales of everything but the most popular stuff always slow down dramatically just before a public holiday in Japan, and especially for Golden Week.
