  1. Well, that looks suitably terrible. Not quite as laughable as Saints Row 2, but there’s still time.

It holds a similar style of appeal as the original Saints Row. They really need to go back and clean up the cutscenes though, in term of visuals and lip-sync. The combat doesn’t look “accessible” either, it just comes across as clumsy, even before the lead even touches the bottle!

  3. Looks like plop. As I said on EG, any dev with a grand theft also in the pipeline for this year better have one hell of a game. From the cherry-picked selection I’ve seen so far lined up for release within the next 3/4 I think only Prototype looks vaguely good enough to square up to GTA IV

Huh? Two very different situations, there. It looks like more than anything, that Prototype will be facing off against GTA’s first DLC. Players will have had the game a while, and it may have worn a bit.

The premise is different between the two, and I think it’s more in common with Mercenaries, if anything, and I don’t subscribe to the school of thought that states “anything 3d open world sandbox that includes vehicles = GTA clone”…If you happen to, explain Crackdown (another eminently more valid comparison to Prototype) and how if people do hold on to such an opinion it won’t just go towards stifling enjoyment and to some degree natural progression of that genre, going forward?

The question mark, in this space, to me, seems to be Sucker Punch’s Infamous, which isn’t really doing much to stand out or identify itself, perched as it is atop a storm-lit building watching events unfold from its Q1 2009 (isn’t it?) vantage point.

Promising. The dancing looks fun and the wet T-shirt competition was a nice goodie. However I´m a little worried about the fighting mechanics. It seems a little bit to basic compared with the dancing game. Altough the the super punch, that knocked out the nerd and throws him into the air, was amusing.
