Koch’s released a new video of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky tech, giving ample reason to be excited about the prequel’s August 29 launch.
God rays, soft water, volumetric fire, dynamic volumetric smoke, dynamic wet surfaces, rain splashes water streaming down surfaces and the best lightning you’ve ever seen in a game are all included.
We’re putting it up on GameTrailers now. Get it from GamersHell in the meantime.

Looking good, the smoke effect is just lovely.
I really must get around to finishing the first game.

Wow, that looks fantastic.
I really really wish I had a top of the range PC, so I could play this/the original, and Crysis.

Crysis wasn’t the best thing ever. Pretty, mind.

Yeah, I’ve heard it wasn’t that great of a game, but I don’t really care. I just want to see how great the graphics are. I love tropical settings, too.

The first half’s really good, no question. Definitely got very into the whole sneaking about the jungle thing, and it does look amazing. It just all gets a bit… silly.

Silly is an understatement, complete crap would be more accurate. Everything up until the mountain was lots of fun, everything after wasn’t. Shame really but Crytek did the same with Far Cry so I suppose it was to be expected.

Aw, I still really want to play it. I loved Far Cry, even though that went to shit about halfway through.
