PS3 launch was “baptism of fire”, says Tretton

Speaking to MCV, SCEA boss Jack Tretton has admitted that PS3’s launch was the easiest point in his career.
“There was a lot of concern about the technology promise of the PS3 as well as the price point,” he said. “Consumers questioned whether Sony would be able to deliver on that promise. The first year was certainly a baptism of fire.
“Previously, I managed just a portion of the business. Now, I’m responsible for all of it, so I feel a tremendous amount of of responsibility for viritually everything the company does. I would like to show long-term growth and success at the most senior levels.”
There’s a big interview over there talking about Jack’s career in general. Only you know if that interests you.
