Metallica: Games are “fucking way cool”
April 23rd, 2008 @ 15:02
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich enjoys games. They help him connect with his kids.
“It’s fucking way cool,” he said in this Rolling Stone interview. “Our kids love playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band. It’s awesome. There’s something really positive coming out of video games. It’s so cool to sit there and have your kids talk to you about Deep Purple and Black Sabbath and Soundgarden.”
Ulrich was talking at a signing day in California last week, at which he was signing lots of Guitar Hero controllers. More through the link.

It’s nice to see the old people can still enjoy games.

My wife absolutely hates Lars Ulrich. I’ve no idea why, exactly. She just really, really hates him. I’ll have to ask her why this evening. It’s weird. Whenever Metallica come on one of the music channels, she’ll mention it.

He’s a munchkin and I still find all those flash animations of him regarding the original napster to be the most accurate representation of the man.

Hehehe. Has anyone seen their rockumentary, “Some Kind of Monster”? It’s absolutely hilarious. Recommended.
