Ventillator: Agree with all of that… but, I don’t think that Nintendo wants to risk being short of stock in Europe for the launch of Wii Fit as it could be the killer app for their sales here (which have been good, but nothing like the US).

America may not be the world, but that doesn’t justify the imbalanced distribution.

The percentage of Wiis that come to the U.S. should be roughly equivalent to the demand. I’d be willing to bet that more than 40% of potential Wii owners reside in the U.S.

Nintendo is already fighting an uphill battle. Making mistakes like this doesn’t help.
