Konami releases MGO beta patch, world bates breath
April 25th, 2008 @ 07:00
This is either going to be great or a complete disaster: or both. Konami’s released a version 1.2 patch of the Metal Gear Online beta client ahead of a scheduled start for the test tonight in Europe, the US and Japan. Get it while you can. The start of the beta was delayed earlier this week due to high traffic, so it’ll be interesting to see if Konami can make the magic happen. Good luck with that.

Quick download, completed first time. It “modifies the way in which the beta client connects to [konami’s] server”. Additionally, in terms of noticeable differences, pages (such as user agreement) don’t take anywhere near as long to load, now

Not unless Konami are patiently seated in wellies, with a travel tent by a river.
