Denmark selling the most expensive copies of GTA IV in the world?
April 28th, 2008 @ 09:36
Denmark’s largest games retailer, EBGames (a subsidiary of the US firm, Gamestop) is selling copies of Grand Theft Auto IV for 599kr on 360 and 549kr on PS3, which by our calculations makes them the most expensive copies of the game in the world.
That’s a whopping £63 for the Xbox 360 version and £57.75 for PS3.
In euros, our currency converter makes it €73,34 for PS3 and €80 for 360. And just so our American friends don’t feel left out, that’s a whopping $125.25 for 360 and $114.79 for PS3.
In case you’ve been asleep, GTA IV comes out at midnight tonight.

It’s interesting, GTA appears to be the first game I’ve noticed where shops are doing the PS3 version for less money than the 360 version - usually it’s the other way around. ShopTo had the PS3 version a quid cheaper in the flyer they sent to me this weekend.

Tut tut. I see your measly £63 and raise you a whopping 859SEK = £73.

wz: <2% in Denmark
Anyway it’s crazy, but the same store (GameStop/EBGames) accepts to trade in 2 PS3 games (ANY - except MS & Resistance), then you get GTA IV for free + a whooping gift voucher (with 100 danske kr = £10) I bought 2 completely new games in another Danish store for £28, and got GTA IV for £18.
