Sierra Spring Break 08: Moby track replaced in Bourne due to Universal ties

April 28th, 2008 @ 12:59

Speaking to videogaming247 at the Sierra Spring Break 08 in Mallorca last week, Bourne Conspiracy developer Emmanuel Valdez said that the series’ “signature” Moby track “Extreme Ways” will not be featured in the game due to contractual reasons.

However he did say that DJ Paul Oakenfold has written an original track called “Falling” for the title as a replacement, which features Cee-Lo - one half of Gnarls Barkley - on vocals.

“We replaced the Moby song with an original Paul Oakenfold track song called ‘Falling’,” he said. “Cee-Lo does the vocals.”

“The Moby song is pretty signature to the end of every Bourne movie,” he added. “I’d love to work with Moby on the next game.”

We probed as to why Moby had been ousted and Valdez said it was because of Sierra’s ties with Universal Music.

“We didn’t actually consider it due to the fact that we’re part of Universal Music and that’s pretty much it,” he said.

We want Moby.

The Bourne Conspiracy releases on June 24 for 360 and PS3.

  1. wtf? You can’t have Bourne without Moby! So now we’ve got Bourne without Bourne and without the soundtrack. Sounds like it’s going to be smashing.

  2. You do get to kill people with magazines, though. Our man morriss there loved it.

    *nods*

  3. Yeah, but what does he know? :-D

  4. You can stab people in the hand with a ball-point pen!!!

I mean, come on! What more does anyone want from a video game, fbs?!

    fbs (for bourne’s sake)
