New Rise of the Argonaut shots
April 29th, 2008 @ 16:55

The lovely people over at Gaming Today have posted some new screens of Codemasters’ Rise of the Argonauts, which has been somewhat hidden for pretty much ages. From the site:
With deep exploration and epic quests, players will take the role of Jason, King of Iolchis, and battle alongside iconic mythological heroes including Hercules, Achilles, Atalanta and others. As Jason grows from young king to true legend, set sail aboard the Argo and explore the vast Aegean – a dynamic world of islands filled with shining cities, lush jungles and deep forests.
The is apparently down for a June 1 launch for PC, PS3 and 360. Take a look through the link.

Did they have lush jungles and deep forests back then? LAst time I was in Greece (admittedly centuries, if not millenias, later) it was pretty barren.
Cool setting. I’m a huge fan of the illustrated classic.

I’m going to mail Codemasters about this. Heard absolutely nothing on it for ages.
