Original Okami team not credited in Wii port
May 1st, 2008 @ 16:36
According to this Kotaku piece, the original Okami team’s credits have been cut from the Wii version. Capcom’s said this is for legal reasons, apparently, as the company’s not allowed to use the Clover logo any more, although it hasn’t been explained why names couldn’t have been added without the logo.
Original Clover director Hideki Kamiya isn’t amazingly pleased about it, rather obviously.
“I really don’t know what under pretext the credits were cut,” he said. What do you all think? I feel dejected, and not only because my own name has been erased from my creation. Of course we have pride in our work and we want to scream ‘We made this!’ from the top of our lungs. But more than that, the fact that they cut the entire staff is utterly deplorable.”

The entire Wii Okami saga leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Its good that more people get to play it but so much has been fouled up, or removed to make me want to play it again.
The PS2 games can be bought new for £10 from Blockbuster, go for that instead.
Plus the Wii controls look horrible and overtly complex.

This is really bad. Furthermore, the credits were brilliant and the song that plays over the top of it is one of my most favouritest songs from a game ever ever.
