Yeah, right, I agree with you, morriss! What they've suggested is the equivalent of "have you tried turning it off, and on again?"

But, it's not a valid stop-gap solution either, really, because of all the trouble the affected player will have to go to, to set things back as they were. The priority should be on the publisher to create and test, then implement a patch at this point (which will probably take a little while). The player has ALREADY DONE ALL THEY SHOULD HAVE TO in supporting the game, by buying it.

Anything like this should highlight either a) a shortcoming of the testing process, or
b) A negative result of a multi-sku approach to hardware sales (but you could again - if you were being mean - throw it back to the develeloper's responsibility, and say that the SKUs have been established for a while, so they should have, for testing purposes, one of each hardware configuration. Although, this would not account for per-batch inconsistencies.)

I've had it reset once, or twice coming out of multiplayer, through loss of connection, but I wouldn't go through all that pullava to possibly fix it. What a joke!

Bloody hell, they're just saying, isolate and re-boot the machine in almost factory condition.

What a load of rubbish.
