   I’ve read a few of mortiferus’ comments on this site now.

   I can’t say I’m impressed with his/her rhetoric.

   Anyway, Gears 2 will be pretty, I’m sure.

   It’s just fucking sickening that, thanks to millions of dollars spent on marketing most gamers think of Gears as some benchmark for introducing a decent cover system.

   Such people should play the second half of Manhunt. Better yet, those same people should play Second Sight. There’s nothing in Gears’ cover system that wasn’t already being done to perfection by Second Sight. Plus, as a special bonus, Second Sight had a plot!

   Now. All of you. Go and play Second Sight and forget about this machismo, testosterone, lowest-common-denominator gaming with pwetty gwafix being confused as gameplay.

   Oh, whilst I’m pimping Second Sight, let me also say you’ll never see a better sniping system either.

   Gears nailed cover, with intense action and ease of moving into and out of said cover. Thats not really in much other games, apart from maybe Uncharted.

   Oh please chaps, can’t take an opposing view? c’mon why do u take this personal. jeez liten up! Anyhow, The fact is visually Gears 2 will surpass Killzone thanks to the revised unreal engine and second gen optimization techniques. And if they fix the online play it will be a blast on live!
