MS Gamer’s Day: No Wake at SF event or in ‘08
May 13th, 2008 @ 16:07

TVG’s reporting that Alan Wake won’t be shown at today’s Gamer’s Day in San Francisco today, and is unlikely to make it out this year. From the site:
A Microsoft Spokesperson has told TVG that Microsoft’s Gamers Day (soon to start in San Francisco) is showcasing all of the company’s major game releases for 2008, strongly suggesting that triple A title Alan Wake (which isn’t on show at the event) will quietly slip into the 2009 release window that we all probably knew but hoped wouldn’t happen.
Things are about to get moving in San Francisco, so keep watching for announcements throughout the evening. You can catch all our coverage here.

Don’t we have to actually know something about a title before we can class it as ‘triple A’?
A shame, anyway. The game looked pretty interesting in the first trailers, but it’s just taking too damn long.

I love way these sites sex it all up.

It’s taking far, far too long. It was announced years ago.

I’m guessing it’s no longer for Xbox 360 and instead will be a release title for their next console in 2010

Rhythm: Wouldn’t make much sense… they’d need to re-jig it again.

Didn’t stop them doing this with Kameo or Perfect Dark, did it?

Neither of those games were due early on for the xbox… besides that of course, Rare are owned by MS, Remedy aren’t.

We sure this isn’t a PS3 title? Sounds like one.

Anything Sony can make us wait for, Microsoft can make us wait longer for.

Worst thing about AW is that, as the years pass, the whole thing sounds less and less “special” to me.
