Tales of Vesperia for PS3 (probably)
May 14th, 2008 @ 14:38
Namco RPG Tales of Vesperia - previously only destined for 360 - has been confirmed for PS3, according to this Kotaku report. Well, it was confirmed, but now Namco’s claimed it wasn’t the case and has corrected itself. There’s no point lying, Namco. You can’t beat the internet. Just come out. Be proud. Embrace the PS3 version of your mental RPG in public. No one will judge you.
Confirmation soon, hopefully.

I suspect Microsoft will be a bit cross about this, unless it really was a proper ‘oops, wrong platforms’ slip up rather than an ‘oops, we got paid not to mention that’ one.

Talking of which… where is the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata? I didn’t get it on the 360 because I was going to pick it up on the PS3 instead.

Picked up the 360 version of Eternal Sonata a few weeks back for 20 pounds. I played it for around 6-7 hours before the GTA juggernaut hit and it’s not bad. I was quite enjoying it.

There’s no concrete news on ES PS3, but rumour has it it’s been delayed ’til the end of the year. Which is a stupidly long time, tbh. I’m wondering whether it’ll ever make it out of Japan now, unless it’s seriously expanded over the original release.

Bleh… I can get the 360 version cheap now but that seems stupid given I already started waiting!

I can’t imagine there’s much point in waiting if you have access to a 360. May as well pick up a cheapie copy right now.

Screw it, why not. \o/

Namco have published an apology for the “error” on their web site now.

Simple mistake. Anyone could do it. Especially if it were true.

Do you ever get the feeling we’re all a bit too cynical?

There’s no such thing as too cynical. You can never be cynical enough. Always room for improvement.
