Konami announces Rock Revolution - screens and video

May 15th, 2008 @ 21:32

Konami’s announced Rock Revolution, a band-based rhythm action game for Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, and DS, for release this autumn.

Apparently players are able to work through a variety of classic and modern rock ballads on the drums, guitar, or bass.

Destructoid’s got a good-sized preview of it, include shots. There’s a video after the link.

  1. Finally, the original returns.

I bet people still call it a Guitar Hero/Drum Mania rip-off, despite preceding those games by nearly 10 years.

I’d buy this immediately if I could drum to MAX300. >_>

Someone needs to make a bit of hardware which works for all the games. I don’t care if I need to attach / detach bits to make it work.

The platform holders need to step in and force the publishers to conform to a proper standard. First one to do it wins.

Good. Hopefully this one isn’t ludicrously priced, so I can completely ditch the idea of getting Rock Band. Also, hopefully this creates a lot more competition, lowering prices, encouraging each game designer to work harder on the sequels, etc… but that would be dreaming.
