Konami announces three new DDR games

May 16th, 2008 @ 07:13

Konami’s announced not one, not two, but three new DanceDanceRevolution games for release this autumn, namely DanceDanceRevolution X for PS2, DanceDanceRevolution Universe 3 for 60, and DanceDanceRevolution: Hottest Party 2 for Wii.

“We cannot thank our fans enough for their continued devotion to the DanceDanceRevolution franchise. The continued popularity and longevity of DanceDanceRevolution has transformed it from a video game into something much bigger and more special,” said Konami marketing boss, Anthony Crouts.

“We wanted to celebrate this special occasion by bringing to market three new versions of the game that offer the biggest and best musical selections along with a slate of unique features.”

Details on the games themselves on GameDaily.

Awesome… I really must buy “DanceDanceRevolution Universe 3″ for the 60. I just need to lop off the 3 from it first.

On a related note, someone really needs to start importing the better metal pads into the UK. I’m sick of only being able to get the rubbish ones over here or having to pay ludicrous shipping charges to move some 30kg lump of metal over.

  3. I tried to import a Cobalt Flux over from the US. I was quoted $300 for the mat itself, and $350 on top of that for shipping (not inc. import tax). I kindly declined. :)

These are pretty much the best you can get in Europe.

I bought a TX-4500 v2 which was great, but required too much stepping pressure to be particularly comfortable to use.

Academic anyway… because I don’t have a PS2 any more, the PS3 doesn’t do BC now and even if it did it adds too much lag for DDR games… and I can’t find a converter to use these pads on the 360. =(

  5. I use a metal Logic 3 mat, which actually isn’t that bad, once you know how to repair it. I wanted a Cobalt Flux so I could get the middle pad for Pump It Up.
