Good riddance if gamessites don't do them anymore, those show awards were awful anyway, how can you "award" something that isn't finished? Some folks may find this hard to believe amidst all the hype at these shows but E3 or Leipzig aren't like movie shows à la Cannes, Berlin or Venice. Some publishers are stamping those E3 awards on retail boxes which is even more ridiculous.

More game information please, less pre-release awards, thank you very much.:)

I don't know if publishers are all going for Leipzig now, I don't think that American publishers especially are too happy about a big European show. E3 losing ground probably means more big publisher-held events.

It's doomed now. No one cares any more. I reckon it'll be just a series of platform holder press conferences next year. This year's going to be rubbish. Everything's be shown. Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony will make some announcements, probably, but the big third-party is gone. Everyone will be at Leipzig, not E3.

I called this when they got rid of the booth babes. Why would any worthwhile game developer / publisher waste their time there now?
