Ditching Unreal Engine has been “fantastic”, says Dyack

Silicon Knights boss Denis Dyack has said that the company’s transition from Epic’s Unreal Engine to its own technology has been “fantastic”.
“We completely threw out the Unreal Engine and focused on something that would work for what we’re doing, and it’s been fantastic,” he told CVG.
Silicon Knights’ lawsuit against Epic, which claims the firm was “misled” over how complete the Unreal Engine code was, has yet to be resolved.
Dyack’s labour of love, action RPG Too Human, has now been confirmed for an August 29 launch in Europe.

Given how average some of the shots have looked for this I’d hate to think what UE would have done to it…

I fell asleep for nearly two hours this afternoon. I’m going to stick forks in my legs in future.

I’m still quite hopeful the game will turn out good… but I wont be holding my breath.

I really want it to be good. I love this sort of game. My spider sense is definitely tingling, though.

Well GTA 4 proved you don’t have to be the most amazing looking game to be good. Too Human looks fun, will it be fun that will last is another thing altogether.
