Sega now owns IP for Platinum games
May 20th, 2008 @ 06:54
Speaking in this Gamespot interview, Sega America COO Simon Jeffreys confirmed that Sega now owns the IP for the three Platinum Games titles it signed last week, and that the Japanese developer is now apparently locked into a Sega deal exclusively.
GS: Is this deal exclusive, or can Platinum work here and there for other publishers?
SJ: It’s completely exclusive.
GS: Do the intellectual property rights for these brands stay with Sega or Platinum Games?
SJ: Sega.
Jeffreys also confirms in that chat that Sin City lookalike MadWorld will be the first of the trio to launch - the other two games being Bayonetta and Infinite Line.
